THE MUSIC PROJECT
What we do
The Music Project is a charitable trust running intergenerational projects which promote wellbeing and enhance understanding between children and the older generation through music.
We LOVE what we do and believe music is not only fun, but fundamental.
OUR WORK
Music can have a great impact on the physical and mental well being of people of of all ages, but especially that of the older generation.
We believe that music has the power to transform people lives, both young and old, and it can also be a powerful memory trigger for those that have dementia or brain trauma. We actively promote the use of music in addressing physical and mental health problems in local communities through our intergenerational programmes.
The Music Project has been working in local communities for over 10 years and is a charity run by people who love working with both young and old in creative and inspiring ways.
The Music Project are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £4000 by the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme, in conjunction with Groundwork UK, to work with local primary schools and care homes in Brent on intergenerational music projects, tackling dementia.
